In the Name of God the Beneficent the Merciful

Ehsan.me is the fruit of several weeks of hard labor. Since I have several blogs, in Swedish and English, on different topics, it has been a bit difficult to update all continuously. A couple of weeks ago the idea hit me, ”Why not unite all blogs into one ultimate mega multi blog which profiles not just an aspect of you but all of you in digital form?!”

It felt like a bolt out of a blue sky! But then the problems came the questions like, ”On which domain shall it be? In what language should I write? What are the pros- and cons?” These dilemmas left me sleepless for several nights and forced me to stopped me from taking action.

After much contemplation, reflection and some discussions with my near and dear ones the puzzle bits started to fall on the right spot and I got a clearer picture of what to d. It didn’t take long before I created the blog and set a launch date: and which day isn’t better then the yearly anniversary of Imam Ali’s(A) birthday, the closest and superior companion of the Prophet(S) who was chosen as the rightful successor and leader of the Muslims and believers, the master of the monotheists and spiritual travelers. Thus the date of launch was set to 13 Rajab 2008 (16 July 2008).

On the 21:st of the holy month of Ramadan 2009 (11 September 2009), on the martyrdom of Imam Ali(A) and the nights of Laylat al-Qadr as well as a Friday, the time had come to launch the English section as well. There are a couple of reasons for writing in English: I get a chance to develop my English writings skills. I also get the opportunity to get in touch with interesting people from all around the world. On the other hand the whole wide world will come to know that there is spiritual life in Sweden. There are some topics or situations where there is a need to write in English and thus an established blog is the best forum for broadcasting one’s message. Beside who knows what the future has in store? An English blog will be appealing and functional no matter where you are. With the English section I as a writer am no longer bound to any place or time but can write as I wish wherever I wish.

This blog is a gathering point for all my thoughts, ideas, interests, experiences and writings. It is an online diary for personal usage where I with my digital pen write down and store my memories. It is also an open book for others to read and hopefully be inspired from.

This world is like a short bridge we pass on life’s journey and if we open up ourselves for each other we realize how much we have in common as well as how unique we are! To listen to each other, have an understanding for each other and help each other is the key to success and a harmonic presence on our little earth.

With this blog I also want to blow color and life into the dry, lifeless, gray picture of Islam which as been drawn by the hand of man; Muslim as well as non-Muslim. I want to show the Muslim that you can live in the world and hold it in your hand without being owned by it. That you can walk with a straight back among the people in the day like a spiritual king and at the same time throw yourself on the ground at night in front of the King of kings, God, as a humble servant and find your strength in Him. I also want to show the non-Muslim that Islam is the way to perfection, even if Muslims often show another picture and walk a wrong path.

But who am I then? If I was to describe myself with one word it would be ”water”; because water is in constant movement, it shapes itself after each situation and even though it is open on the outside it is deep on the inside.

I in myself am nothing, but through Him I can become everything!
