laying myself on the bed, a prayer rug
resting my head on the pillow, my turbah
your unspoken words a whispering messenger
the soul silently falls asleep to your bedtime story
to an exotic land wanders my dreams
where the fountain of your love wildly streams
my eyes bathe in your light
a vision of my heart
as a galloping horse
where you are the rider

your embrace is my cradle
schhh……let me sleep on…

A weary lost soul put asleep
within him echoed a silent weep
suffocated in the stormy sea of night
slowly shined through glimmers of light

his heart touched by the purest kiss
by unseen lips, a saviour in his dark abyss
captivated by unimaginable sight
his soul caressed by glimmers of light

A divine dance in the pouring rain
unspoken words stroked his pain
fell prostrate before the timeless knight
his essence engulfed in glimmers of light

Riding a cloud a prince descended
filled with heavenly odour’s splendid
the soul became dazzled by shining white
his ego annihilated in glimmers of light

Behold, the Sun and Moon side by side
“who are you?!”, the poor soul cried
“I breath life upon death, I am Messiah the Sage,”
And this is al-Mahdi, the Master of your Age.”
this enrapturing vision words cannot write
his heart intoxicated by glimmers of light

They said, “Every burning soul we see,
the agony of yearning we set free,
be the river merging with our sea,
oppress not but nurture Man’s tree,
if you seek felicity this is the key,
that will open the gates of eternity.”
Like shadows the supreme lovers faded into the night
as the soul was awakened by the glimmers of light…

When you paint with tears
the one who your love bears
and her face engrave
beneath an ocean wave
you have shaped the rhymes
echoing through eternal times

When you drink that light
immerse your spirit in that sight
when it dance wildly in your chest
then you have truly been blessed
with the soul of poetry

i have wandered astray
now back home i seek a way
i am your fleeing slave
a homeless dog who crave

i am clothed in neediness
in your friendship me dress
light my candle of hope
tie me to your eternal rope
your lonesome servant tame

i mourn with silent words
yet my spirit bark like birds
from all but you stitch my eyes

a light reveals from up high
an angel descends from the sky
bearing a message from life’s domain
“listen to the tears lost in the rain

to learn life you need to live
your most precious you must give
a lost leaf is also a needy grain
blossoming to a tree by the mercy of rain”

the soul is moaning in pain
the time for spiritual dancing has come

the thoughts are wandering astray
the time for nothingness has come

the yearning is caged within
the time for unleashing has come

the intellect is prevailing
the time for madness has come

the eyes are blindfolded
the time for unveiling has come

the ego is crowned as king
the time for rebellion has come

the heart is sighing of thirst
the time for wine-drinking has come

the desires are burning ablaze
the time for drowning has come

the lips are dry and longing
the time for enraptured kisses has come

the life is tormented in separation
the time for union has come

I’m hurt inside
but you are both my pain and cure
the time for love has not come

angels silently drown
gasping for each breath
you take my breath away !
engulfing my very existence

honesty dressed in the bare air
