“If I feared that You may hasten my punishment, I would have avoided sinning [...] You protect the secretive sin with Your generosity and You delay my punishment with Your patience”

(Imam Sajjad(A), Duaa Abu Hamza Thumali)

What can I say O Allah more then that the greatest punishment of my sins being that You frown and turn away from me and take away the sweetness of worshipping you from me?! The more I sin and become occupied with this illusionary world, the… more I forget You, the more troublesome it becomes to worship You and thus You take away the pleasure of worship from me and that is indeed a far greater punishment then the fire of Hell. “And suppose I am able to endure the chastisement of Hell, how will I be able to endure the separation from You?” (Imam Ali(A), Duaa Kumail). Oh so true, oh so true!! :’(
