“I assign my pleading to You by praying to You, doing this while knowing that I am not worthy of Your listening to me nor do I have a right on You to pardon me, but I do so because I trust in Your generosity”

(Imam Sajjad(A), Duaa Abu Hamza Thumali)

SobhanAllah what adaab! What respect! When we make duaa and have wishes in desperation we cry out to the Lord of the Universe, “Ya Allah! Please listen to me!!”
But look at what Imam Sajjad(A) is saying here. He says, “I know I’m not worthy …of You listening to me!” SobhanAllah what respect! This is how a true servant should be. We are like children with bad manners. Ah! :’(
