Jaha, då blev man väl hackad.

Igår när jag skulle ladda upp mitt inlägg att RC18T kommit fram möts jag till min bestörning av texten: ”by 3RqU | pls delete index.html file from your FTP |”

Det visade sig att det blivit en attack som förstört alla PHP filer på servern och ersatt innehållet med raden ovan.

En liten googling på 3RqU visade att denne person, uppenbarligen av turkisk nationalitet, har så att säga ”hackat” en mängd sidor, ibland med en reklamlänk till webbhosting företaget KSKBilisim.com.

Efterforskningar visade att han är ännu en s.k ”Script kiddie” som använder sig av färdiga kodskript som scannar av sidor med färdiga system efter kända buggar och svagpunkter, forcerar sig genom denna punkt och vanligtvis ersätter alla filers innehåll med ”hackarens” signatur. Scriptkiddie

En Scriptkiddie är ett lite skämtsamt eller irriterat uttryck som används mest inom hackervärlden. Det avser en person som hämtar hem alla möjliga verktyg, vanligtvis olika sorts hackingprogram, och sedan ”trycker på alla knappar som finns” och tror att han/hon kan hacka. Man kan likna det lite vid ett barn som leker med en atombomb. Alltså en person som inte kan något om exempelvis hacking men utnyttjar alla möjliga, oftast mycket kraftfulla, verktyg utan att veta hur man ska använda dem.

Dessa ”script kiddies” är avskydda bland hackar eliten just eftersom de är ett gäng irriterande snorungar som vill ha uppmärksamhet genom att klottra sina signaturer överallt. Ofta är de medlemmar i communities och får mer prestige och respekt ju fler sidor de ”hackat”. Generellt sätt kan de inte nämnvärt mycket programmering eller IT-säkerhet. De vet bara hur man ska använda färdiga Windows program och klicka på musen. Någon högre intelligens än så har de tyvärr ofta inte.

Grymt irriterad laddade jag upp alla filer (givetvis har jag backup på backup på backup av allt möjligt, lol) och 30 minuter senare var alla sidor uppe och snurrade igen. Frugan frågade om jag tänkte hacka honom så han får smaka lite på egen medicin men jag svarade med att det är så enkelt att förstöra medan det är svårt att bygga upp, dock är det man byggt upp som varar. Om vi tänkte och handlade mer konstruktivt än destruktivt skulle inte världen vara så sargad som den är idag.

Unfortunately, many journalists and writers have been fooled into using the word ‘hacker’ to describe crackers; this irritates real hackers no end.

The basic difference is this: hackers build things, crackers break them.
