Prophet Musa(A):
The man who was killed was first of all an oppressor and according to Sharia law he deserved death punnishment. The tribe of Israil (Bani Israil) where oppressed by the Egyptian tribes, I’ll draw the similude of Palestine and Zionists. Such was the case, and one day one of them oppressed one of the innocent Bani Israel (like the Zionists to Palestine), and Prophet Musa(A) who is a freedom fighter and strives for justice, tried to stop him but when he didn’t obey, he hit him in the chest to make him back off. However the power of Prophet Musa(A) was so strong (Some delicious Irfani points there I won’t go into now), that the man fell back, hits his head on a stone and died.
And this was of course not the intention of Prophet Musa(A) to kill him, and even if it was, it was not a sin but rather it was like to to kill an oppressing Zionist today.
An Irfani Note:
The killing of the oppressor by Prophet Musa(A) was based upon a divine impuls within him. That is why after the killing he felt no affliction in his soul. When later he met Khidr(A) and the latter killed the boy, Prophet Musa(A) reproeached Khidr(A) and inquired why he had killed an innocent boy where upon Khidr(A) replied, “I did not do it on my own initiative.”
Khidr(A) was also seized by this Divine impuls or Will in his heart which he could not do anything but to follow, one can say it took over his being. And as the meeting of Prophet Musa(A) and Khidr(A) was arranged to disciple and increase Prophet Musa’s(A) knowledge (according to the Quran), Allah through Khidr(A) made Prophet Musa(A) recall his state when he killed the Egyptian.
The People of Heart (Ahl al-M’arifah) on this beautiful forum can confirm what the weary-hearted servant is saying regarding this Divine impuls.
Prophet Yunus(A):
Know you all, that infallability has different grades and stations. All of us are infaillible to a certain extent. We won’t kill ourselves or put our hands in fire as we know the effects. The closer you get to Allah and the higher you strive, you see the effect of sins as well. Such as backbiting will take the shape of a wild dog etc.
So among the Awilya, things which are normally not considered sin would be a fault and sin among them.
For example the Prophet(S) says, “I repent 70 times aday lest the dust of forgetfullness would set on my heart”.
He repents because if he forgets Allah for just a twinkle of an eye, while we pray most our prayers without even remembering Him.
Now to Prophet Yunus(A) who became angry at his tribe for not submitting. Anger for the sake of Allah is not a bad thing either, don’t forget that. But as a Prophet it does not fit him to be angry and so he fled.
He did not sin nor was his anger in fault for you and me, but as a prophet he could have acted better.
A delicious similude:
The heart of a beliver is like a room filled with light. When a small dot of sin enters it, there will be huge shadows all over the room (because of the light) and he will see the effects immediately and repent with a heavy heart.
While the heart of a sinner is like a dark room and even if a huge sphere of sin enters it, he won’t notice as he has no light to shine up the shadow.
Contemplate this and Insha Allah you will understand the concept of Infallibility.
