Shadows of Solitude

In the shadows of solitude
a tear is glowing
a face is burning
a heart is on fire

The soul has become a cup
filled with moonshine
seeking a thirsty lip
to kiss with emptiness
just one pure breath
a sigh

Imagine a silence beyond
every roaming spirit
every wild passion
every dancing love
what will you see?
a lonely presence

Love is the water of life
a source of sweet heart
yet through mine gushes
a fountain of flames
tormented in spiritual desires
like an untamed river
winding around your being
don’t moan
fly

They say, “To love and let go
is better then to never have loved at all!”
I say, “Look upon me,
and judge for yourself.”

In whispers and tears I begged
until my knees cried to sleep,
“Pick me, pick me..”

Now I just wonder,
Why me.. ?
