the Mirror’s Charm

In the Beloved’s orchard
a lover danced in silent prayer
merged into passion, melted…tortured
longing for Mercy’s fresh portion

The sweet cup poured upon his lips
rays raptured his essence
as the sun unveiled from eclipse
flashes thundered into his depths
and his journey began into the ellipse

Whirling around like a spinning wheel
manifested visions engulfed the real
a colourful fusion of ecstasy..
the Painter’s brush revealed!

Like a wanderer in the dessert
thirsty for unseen secrets
the lover hallucinated for more
until he found a treasure
that made him soar..

A charmed mirror brought nigh
glances fail to behold its beauty
instead reflected upon illusion’s eye
this naked spell dressed in reality
enchanted he became
at the sight of One hidden in plurality

“Mirror, mirror on the wall,
reveal yourself, who you are!”
a picture appeared to the lover
he kissed her and whispered,
“Did I kiss you?
or did I kiss me…?”

The mirror smiled
and with a riddle replied,
“The “I” went hiding
only we are still here
if “we” go too
then who shall be there…?”
