As I have said I am not a poet and I am no sufi. The difference between a
sufi and a follower of The Prophet (S) and his pure household (A) is that a
sufi, in order to experience this love and ecstacy, uses methods outside
sharia and human law, such as abusing ones body while the way to reach these
love feelings as taught by the Prophet (S) and his Household (A) is through
dhikr (remembrance) such as reading Duas, Quran etc…personally the only
difference for me now when I discovered how to Love Allah and before when I
didn’t is no difference in the way of worship actually, just in intention.
Tell me something, Let us say that the Holy Prophet (S), whose truthfulness
can not be denied by the deniers, were to say:
“It makes no difference in afterlife whether you worship God throughout your
life, obey His commands, and resist lusts and carnal desires, or if you lead
a life violating His commands and following your wishes and sensual desires.
This behaviour of yours will not affect your station in the Hereafter. In
both cases you will attain salvation and will be sent to Paradise and saved
from His chastisement. It will not make any difference whether you offer
prayers or whether you indulge in fornication and sin. However, the good
pleasure of God Almighty lies in this that you should worship Him, praise
Him and thank Him, and resist your sensual desires in this world, although
you will not be rewarded for it”
Would you still be a pious person ? One who did all the wajibat, the
mustahabat, made congression prayers, duas etc…would you ?
If Allah (SWT) reaveled the Koran and said you all should follow the rules,
dont do this sin and the other, and you should pray to me etc…but there is
no reward or punnishment for either…or both takes you to paradise…the
only difference is that if you refrain from the sin you will win my
pleasure.
Now how would you react ?
You do not need to answer…but remember even though our tongues are
skillfull…if we gave speech to our hearts they would utter the ugliest
words heard by the men of letters !
Veiled in ignorance and hypocrisy as we are, we give up this worlds
pleasures for higher ones in the next.
When we start the prayers, even then its like an act of hypocrisy because we
say “I do i.e asr prayers to seek nearness to ALLAH !” while we infact in
our hearts do it for ourselves…perhaps for the nice houries/energic youths
(for the ladies
).
So what I strive for, is to be able to say with heart, “I swear on the Life
of the Beloved, that yes Oh Allah, I would still worship you and love You
with my entire mind, being, soul and heart !”
This is what I aim for, and it’s a long progress. And this is what Islam is
about, it says in the Quran give alms without expecting to get something
back.
